Production Manager at Marine Harvest Scotland, Karl Scott, and Mooring Manager, Arthur Campbell, said that the MMCD database will see the company incorporate the new Scottish Technical Standard for marine fish farms. “Marine Harvest has recently invested a great deal in new technical equipment and with the logging system we will have a constant focus on technical condition and the needs for replacement or maintenance,” Scott says.
Yngve Askeland, Managing Director of Aqua Knowledge, is pleased to have been granted this contract by Marine Harvest. “Close to 200 Norwegian sites are already using this system and now we have the opportunity to build a strong foundation for further commitment in Scotland”, says Yngve Askeland. Aqua Knowledge is a part of the Mørenot Aquaculture Group which is already present in Shetland and in the Hebrides. “The local knowledge of our sister companies, Net Services Shetland and Scotland, is of great importance in terms of implementing the database”, Askeland continues.
