Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 44,750 gutted weight tonnes of salmon and trout in the second quarter of this year, compared with 48,900 gwt in Q2 2025, the company said in a trading update.

The figures do not include harvested volume from Scotland’s second largest salmon farmer, Scottish Sea Farms, which Lerøy co-owns with fellow Norwegian producer SalMar.

SSF's Q1 2026 harvest volume was 5,391 gwt, down 36% from 8,414 gwt in the same period last year, due to the knock-on effects of biological challenges in 2025. Its Q2 harvest volume is expected to be higher, and the company is maintaing guidance for a full-year harvest volume of 43,000 gwt.

Lerøy's harvested volume by region for Q2 2026 (Q2 2025) was:

  • Lerøy Aurora (northern Norway): 7,100 gwt (11,100 gwt)

  • Lerøy Midt (central Norway): 19,7000 gwt (16,900 gwt)

  • Lerøy Sjøtroll (southern Norway): 18,000 gwt, of which 10,400 gwt was trout (20,900 gwt, of which 9,800 gwt was trout)

The company’s complete Q2 2026 report will be published on August 19.
