Fourth week of price increases

According to sector statistic provider Akvafakta, the spot price of salmon increased in week 31 by NOK 3.33 per kilo to NOK 70.35 (£5.61) per kilo.

That price is NOK 17.93 (£1.43) per kilo higher than the same week last year, which was the low point of the year for price.

The average spot price so far this year is NOK 77.62 /kg, compared to NOK 79.09/kg a year ago.

Export volume

According to Akvafakta, Norway exported 37,403 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 31, 6.2% more than the same week in 2025.

So far this year, 920,000 tonnes of salmon have been exported, 4.5% more than at the same time last year.

Cod

The price of farmed cod exported from Norway in week 31 ended at NOK 80.16/kg, down NOK 4.02/kg from the previous week and up NOK 9.07/kg from the same week in 2025.

The average price so far this year is NOK 77.15/kg, compared to NOK 67.08/kg at the same time last year.

Norway exported 400 tonnes (round weight) of farmed cod in week 31, 10% up from week 20 and 326% above the volume in the same week a year ago.

So far this year, 9,206 tonnes (round weight) of farmed cod have been exported, 4.1% more than as of week 31 last year.
