Francisco Ariztia resigns as COO for Mainstream Americas

Over the last two years Mainstream Americas has faced growing problems in Chile as the ISA-crisis came to surface summer 2007. Since than the Norwegian-based mother company Cermaq ASA has brought to their shareholders increasing deficits from the operations in Chile. As the production of Atlantic salmon in Chile continues its steep fall, it is expected that the industry have to invest a lot to rebuild their operations.

Still according to the press release, Ariztia will consentrate on developing his private businesses. He has been a key person in building Mainstream Americas, and will continue as a special consultant for Cermaq.
