Couper Seafoods scoop Quality Awards

Couper Seafoods has regained the Quality Processor Award at Higher Level at its main processing unit in South Esplanade West, while its nearby Murray’s Lane facility achieved a Quality Processor Award at Entry Level for the first time. The Seafish Quality Award scheme seeks to drive up standards by rewarding companies that provide high quality seafood produced in a first class, hygienic environment. Danny Couper Snr, Chairman, said: “We are proud of our products and these awards recognise the hard work and dedication of all our employees in providing the highest quality fish. “Our aim is to further raise the already high standards at our Murray ’s Lane site in order to achieve the Higher Level at the next inspection.” Seafood buyers can purchase products from award holders, safe in the knowledge that they are sourcing product from reputable companies who have a range of approved quality procedures in place.
