A new face for PEIAA
The PEI Aquaculture Alliance has appointed a new Executive Director, Matt Sullivan
Matt Sullivan grew up working in various roles at his father's mussel farm and processing plant in Eastern PEI. Most recently, Matt had been working in the Information Technology sector building traceability systems for the fisheries industry. "I have a great respect and passion for aquaculture" says Matt, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work closely with the PEIAA members and assist the industry in overcoming challenges."
The Prince Edward Island Aquaculture Alliance (PEIAA) was established in 1998 as a non-profit umbrella organization representing the PEI Cultured Mussel Growers Association, the Island Oyster Growers Group, and the PEI Finfish Association.
The alliance advocates as a proactive voice on behalf of its 150-plus members, enables important research and development, and shares relevant information on current issues and opportunities for the industry on PEI.
Sullivan also wanted to acknowledge the former ED, "thank you to Ann Worth for the time and energy that she has put into the organization over the past 4 years. I look forward to being passed the torch and working together with the PEI Aquaculture Alliance."
