Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight coming up.
It encourages the food industry - from restaurants to retailers and caterers - to source and champion the country’s quality produce.
The aim of the Fortnight is to encourage consumers to discover, buy and enjoy the food and drink produced on their doorstep, building Scotland’s reputation as a ‘Land of Food and Drink’.
There are a huge number and variety of events taking place across Scotland during the Fortnight and more than 130 individual events have already been registered.
Food festivals, independent delicatessens, farm shops, food groups, restaurants and multiple retailers will celebrate the Fortnight with a range of activities which include tasting events, cookery demonstrations and special menus.
Events can be registered direct to the website for a free listing at www.scottishfoodanddrinkfortnight.co.uk.
Industry participation has been supported by the provision of free, downloadable materials as well as the high-profile marketing and PR campaign.
The Fortnight is promoted through partner activity with leading Scottish brands using on-pack promotions, traditional PR in print, online and radio, and social media using Eat Scottish on Facebook and @ScotFoodFort on twitter.
