GC Rieber Fortuna AS has entered into an agreement to acquire the majority of the shares in SHM Solutions AS. The investment is made through SCALEIT, GC Rieber Fortuna's investment mandate for growth and scaling companies.

SHM Solutions supplies cranes, deck equipment and systems for service vessels, particularly aimed at the aquaculture industry, and has operations in several locations along the Norwegian coast as well as deliveries to both Norwegian and international customers, including some in Scotland.

Yngve Bøe Myklebust, chief executive of SHM Solutions, writes that the company sees it as a clear advantage that this is GC Rieber Fortuna's first investment in the fish farming industry.

With GC Rieber Fortuna as majority owner, SHM Solutions will gain access to capital and industrial expertise for further development and international growth. The company's founders will continue in operational roles.

The parties will collaborate on further scaling and development of the business, with the goal of long-term value creation.
