Friosur ownership will be transferred
According to Estrategia, José Luis del Río will continue as chairman of Dersa and is going to increase his stock cut within Friosur from 50% of the property to 70%, sharing the company's ownership with the Icelandic group Grandi HF (which have 20%); his sister Bárbara and his brother Sebastián; Carlos Vial, former chairman of SalmonChile and trusted man within the family; and a group of executives.
Friosur ranked 15th among the main Chilean salmon producers last year and exported USD 29.1 million of salmonids during the first eight months of this year, representing a 11.3% fall in comparison with 2008 and being one of the firms within the holding with lower decreases in their incomes.
