The harvest volume is 4,200 gwt, or 11%, smaller than the 36,600 gwt harvested in the same period last year.

SalMar harvested 20,700 gwt in central Norway, 8,700 gwt in northern Norway, and 3,000 gwt in Iceland.

Fish harvested by Scottish Sea Farms, which is owned 50/50 by SalMar and another major Norwegian salmon farmer, Lerøy, are not included in SalMar’s figures because SSF is classed as an associate company, not a subsidiary.

SalMar’s full Q2 2022 report will be released on August 25.
