Workshop will put gill health under the microscope

Fish health diagnostics company PatoGen Limited has announced that it will run a practical harmful plankton and gill health workshop on January 24 next year at the Scottish Association for Marine Science laboratory at Dunstaffnage, Oban.

The workshop is aimed at fish health professionals, veterinarians, biologists, and farm technical staff.

Tutors are Dr Ana Herrero and Dr Hamish Rodger, who will cover practical aspects related to harmful phytoplankton and zooplankton, and gill health in marine aquaculture.

The workshop will involve sampling methods, microscopy, sampling for disease diagnosis, and updates on gill health research.
