Seafood Expo Global attracted more than 35,000 visitors this year

More than 35,000 seafood industry professionals visited the Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global trade show held in Barcelona from Tuesday to Thursday this week, it has been revealed.

“The exhibit floor was full of energy over the past three days as a truly international meeting place for the global seafood industry to achieve their annual business objectives,” said Wynter Courmont, vice president, seafood at the event’s owner and organiser Diversified.

“Exhibitors and visitors alike use this global platform to strengthen relationships with existing clients, connect with new prospects, build strategic partnerships and stay informed about the latest industry developments.”

2,187 exhibitors

This year, the Expo brought together 2,187 exhibiting companies from 87 countries and 68 national and regional pavilions in more than 51,217 net square metres of exhibit space at the Fira Gran Via venue.

The Scotland pavilion included stands for salmon farmers Scottish Sea Farms and Loch Duart Salmon, Eyemouth-based fish processor and distributor D R Collin, and salmon smokers. The pavilion was visited by Scottish Government rural affairs secretary Marie Gougeon and UK government food security and rural affairs minister Daniel Zeichner, among many others.

An accompanying conference programme had more than 20 sessions led by over 80 international experts across the seafood industry. 

The next Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global will be held in Barcelona on April 21-23, 2026.
