Mowi harvested record volume in Q2
Global salmon farmer Mowi harvested 150,000 gutted weight tonnes in the second quarter of this year, 17,000 gwt more than in the same period last year and 10,000 gwt more than guided in its Q1 2026 report.
The harvest volume is a record for the second quarter and included 26,500 gwt (Q2 2025: 24,199 gwt) from Mowi Scotland, taking the Scottish operation’s harvest volume for the first half of 2026 to approximately 47,000 gwt (H1 2025: 41,855 gwt).

Mowi’s group operating profit in Q2 2026 was approximately €231 million (£196.9m / NOK 2.543 billion), a 23% increase compared to the €189m made in Q2 2025.
Blended farming cost was €5.21 per kilo in the quarter, down from €5.39 per kilo in Q2 2025, equivalent to a cost reduction of €0.18 per kilo, or €24m in total.
Mowi’s Canadian operations made a group-high operating profit of €2.05 per kilo, followed by Norway (€1.85/kg) and Scotland (€1.80/kg). The salmon farmer’s Icelandic and Irish operations made operating losses of €0.40/kg and €0.15/kg respectively.

The operating profit for Mowi’s Consumer Products secondary processing division in Q2 was €29m (Q2 2025: €52.2m).
Operational EBITDA in the Feed division in Q2 was €16m (€13.7m). Reported financial net interest-bearing debt (NIBD) for the group was approximately €2.807 billion at the end of the quarter.
