Students reminded of deadline for memorial aquaculture scholarship
Students eligible for a place on one of three aquaculture-related masters degree courses at the University of Stirling’s Institute of Aquaculture have just over two weeks left to apply for a scholarship that will cover the cost of their tuition fees.
The Nikos Steiropoulos Postgraduate Scholarship was established by MSD Animal Health UK, in memory of Nikos Steiropoulos, associate director and head of aquaculture for MSD Animal Health UK.
Steiropoulos, a former president of the Fish Veterinary Society (FVS), died suddenly at his home on Boxing Day, 2020. The FVS has this week reminded its members of the July 31 deadline to apply for the scholarship, which is for one of three courses: MSc Sustainable Aquaculture, MSc Aquatic Pathobiology or MSc Aquatic Veterinary Studies.
The scholarhsip offers a full fee waiver to a candidate who demonstrates their aims and ambitions within the field of aquaculture and why they want to study at the Institute of Aquaculture at the University of Stirling.
The deadline for applications is July 31. Details of eligibility requirements and how to apply can be found here.
