Agraya GmbH, the corporate home of agirculture and aquaculture certification body GLOBALG.A.P. and the GGN label, is expanding its leadership team with the appointment of a chief operating officer and a chief financial officer.

Daniel Link took up the role of COO yesterday, July 15, and Tilman Felshart will become CFO on August 1.

Agraya said in a press release that the appointments, together with the earlier appointment of Wouter Conradie as chief commercial officer, will help it build a stronger foundation to improve existing solutions, develop new capabilities, and respond to the evolving needs of the agrifood industry.

Driving sustainability

It added that the organisation’s mission remains to build trust, drive sustainable agriculture, and create value across global supply chains. As expectations placed on the global farming industry continue to grow, the company is strengthening its own processes, governance, operational consistency, and transparency.

Embedding these principles into its own organisation is essential for Agraya to remain a credible leader and meaningful contributor to sustainability, ESG (environment, social and governance) ambitions, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – not only as an advocate for these principles, but as an organistion that applies them in practice.

“The addition of a COO and CFO reflects our commitment to strengthening the foundations of our organisation so that we can scale our impact, accelerate innovation, and serve our stakeholders even more effectively,” said Agraya chief executive Dr Elmé Coetzer-Boersma.

“We are not changing what we do; we are building the capabilities to do it better. I am delighted to welcome these two experienced leaders to Agraya and look forward to shaping the next chapter of our journey together.”

A proven record

With over a decade of experience in the healthtech, software as a service, life sciences and logistics sectors, new COO Link has a proven track record in scaling organisations and improving operational performance, said Agraya. His priorities include strengthening cross-team collaboration, facilitating the delivery of efficient, scalable, high-quality solutions, and enhancing Agraya’s portfolio.

Felshart will lead the finance, technology and legal departments as CFO, developing the company’s financial management further and placing greater emphasis on transparency and governance.

He has over a decade of experience in finance, controlling and corporate management. Most recently, he was CFO of KrollCosmetics GmbH, where he was responsible for finance, legal affairs, IT, human resources, retail and operations management.

Cooke and Bakkafrost

This year, Agraya celebrated 25 years since it was founded as a retailer-driven initiative in 2001. As of 2025, there were more than 4.8 million hectares of plant production and more than 3.1 million tonnes of aquaculture products under GLOBALG.A.P. certified production processes.

Salmon producers Cooke Scotland and Bakkafrost Scotland both have GLOBALG.A.P. certification.
