US price falls again
The price was 2.2 per cent below the previous week, 22.7 per cent lower than the price observed in the same week of 2014 (US$ 4.58) and 25 per cent below that seen in the same week of 2013 (US$ 4.72).
According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the price in the Brazilian market experienced a 5 cent decrease, with fish of 10-12lb (~4.5-5.4kg) trading at US$ 4.98/kg.
Meanwhile, in the Japanese market, the average price of both frozen HG coho salmon and frozen HG trout remain unchanged. The first one averaged ¥ 665 (US$ ~5.53)/kg, while the second species averaged ¥ 660 (US$ ~5.49)/kg.
