Seafood services provider hires new finance chief

Norway-based Seafood People, which provides a variety of services to the seafood industry, today announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer.

Lars Erik Sjurseth, who starts tomorrow, will also have the additional role of manager of strategy and growth.

Sjurseth’s prior roles include extensive experience working with international firms in telecommunications, industrials and finance and most recently as a senior associate at PwC, Seafood people said in a press release.

Business acumen

“Lars is well-known for his integrity and business acumen,” said Seafood People managing director Thomas Bakke. “I have worked with Lars in the past and am thrilled to have him as a full-time colleague to contribute his knowledge and professionalism to our firm and stakeholders.”

Seafood People is a specialty firm focusing on executive recruitment, strategy, analysis, project management, communication, and design for the seafood industry. It has advisors located in Chile, the UK, the US, Germany, Singapore and New Zealand.
