The donation, through the company’s Heart of the Community Trust, has part-funded a fantastic bespoke boat which is one of the central features of the new park. The boat will be unique to Oban as it has been specially designed for the new play park and will include a 6-metre high climbing tower, fireman’s pole, scramble nets and climbing rocks.

A competition has been running in the Oban Times asking children to suggest a name for the boat and the winning name will be announced at the ‘boat launch’ at 12 noon on Sunday 29 November and the winner presented with an iPad mini by Scottish Sea Farms.

All are welcome to attend the playpark party.
