Frustrating lack of openness
CEO Jo Dekeyzer in Marine Harvest Pieters is the head of the values addes operations (VAP) in Europe, expresses frustration over the situation in Chile. In an interview with FishfarmingXpert, he comments the competitors and their attitude to the problems in Chile.
- Marine Harvest has treated the problems in Chile as an industry issue, not a company issue. We believe that all the players in Chile have a common interest in showing the problems as they are, he says. Dekeyzer mentions Cermaq, Aqua Chile and several others Chilean companies.
- More openness and honesty is for the benefit for the whole industry, he says.
