Angelini Group evaluates entering the salmon industry
Francisco Mujica, general manager of the fishing division of the group, said that the salmon industry is still benefiting from very high prices and there are lots of expectations regarding its performance. Therefore, they are going to wait until prices are stabilized before taking further actions, he commented.
According to the financial journal Estrategia, Mujica explained that one of those Chilean companies still not present in the local stock market would be their most probable target.
Moreover, he said that this would be a logic step in the group, considering their participation in the Omega3 production business through the company Golden Omega, which will be processing 8 500 tonnes of fish oil per year.
