People and culture director appointed for Cermaq Canada

Cermaq has appointed a new people and culture director for Cermaq Canada.

Shannan Brown, joined Cermaq Canada in 2014 as the human resources manager.

Brown has 20 years of experience in developing and delivering strategic human resource initiatives. She has a Master’s degree in business administration, specializing in management consulting.

News of the official appointment was posted on the Cermaq Canada Twitter account. Brown’s appointment has been the third high profile appointment in the last two weeks. Janusz Wicikowski was appointed the role of freshwater director for Canadian operations. Meanwhile, Patty Mann, Regal Springs Tilapia’s former fresh division sales manager joined Cermaq as the business development manager based out of Florida.

Cermaq, owned by Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, farms salmon in Norway, Chile and Canada. It has 28 operations in British Columbia, Canada and employs 275 people in the province.
