Norwegian-owned AKVA said in a press release that the first plant is a project in Chile, with expected finalisation of the contract in the third quarter of 2019.

The deliveries for the Chilean project are estimated to be from Q4 2019 until Q4 2021.

Last month AKVA’s land-based subsidiary, AKVA group Land based, announced the formation of AKVA group Land based Americas based in Puerto Montt, Chile, and the appointment of Mary Ann Rademacher as its general manager.

The Americas team is currently made up of more than 50 full time staff, including a Chilean-based engineering department, project management and installation teams.
