Lerøy harvest figures up for Q4 and whole of 2020

Norwegian salmon and trout farmer Lerøy Seafood harvested both more in the fourth quarter of 2020, and in total for the year, compared with 2019.

Lerøy, which co-owns Scottish Sea Farms with fellow Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar, harvested 48,300 tonnes gutted weight in Q4 2020, compared with 42,800 tgw in Q4 2019, it said in a market update today.

In total for the year, the company harvested 170,800 tgw, up from 158,200 tgw in 2019.

The harvest volumes of Lerøy were distributed as follows:

  • Lerøy Aurora (northern Norway) - 14,800 tgw (13,400)
  • Lerøy Midt (central Norway) - 15,600 tgw (14,500)
  • Lerøy Sjøtroll (southern Norway) - 17,900 tgw (15,000). Trout accounted for 40% of the harvest volume in Lerøy Sjøtroll.
