New aquaculture show develops finance conference with bank partner
Move strengthens the connection between industry and the investment community
Norway’s new aquaculture show Global Aqua has signed up Nordic investment bank ABG Sundal Collier (ABGSC) as its financial partner.
With one year to go until the first Global Aqua at NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, the organisers are developing a dedicated finance conference, bringing ABG Sundal Collier on board to contribute professional expertise, input on topics and relevant speakers.
The goal is to bring together the seafood industry, investors and other players from the capital market.
Extensive expertise

ABG Sundal Collier said that the bank has completed more than 50 corporate and capital markets transactions in the seafood sector in the last four years.
International meeting place
“Global Aqua will be an international meeting place where the entire value chain gathers in one arena, and we look forward to contributing our expertise and perspectives,” said Kristian Fyksen, acting CEO of ABG Sundal Collier.
Global Aqua will be held from September 7 to 9, 2027, two weeks after the long-running Aqua Nor trade show in Trondheim.
According to the organisers, the reason for the new event is that Aqua Nor has grown too large for the city in which it is held. Lillestrøm has strong connections to Oslo Airport and the rest of the country.
The fair is being organised by Norwegian Promotion Group and Aqkva AS. When the event was launched in January, the organisers announced that they had reserved exhibition space for ten years.
In March, Fish Farming Expert’s Norwegian sister site Kyst.no reported that Global Aqua had received around 200 bookings. The organiser's stated goal is 300 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors.
