Salmon spot price on the rise again

The spot price for Norwegian salmon rose by NOK 7.75/kg last week (week 15) and ended at NOK 118.49 (£8.99) per kilo.

That price was NOK 10.47/kg above the same week last year.

The average price so far this year is NOK 105.77/kg, compared to NOK 82.73 at the same time a year ago.

Norway exported 22,696 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 15. That is 25.5% more than the same week in 2022 but must be remembered that it was last year’s Easter week.

The total volume of salmon exported from Norway so far this year is 344,000 tonnes, 8.7% less than the same period last year.
