Sustainability the focus of IFFO webinar
IFFO, the marine ingredients organisation, will focus on sustainability at its two-day webinar in October.
The online sessions will provide the latest insights into the global fishmeal and fish oil markets, in-depth country presentations and new research, said IFFO in a press release.
A leadership panel will aim to answer the crucial question of how marine ingredients’ contribution can shape the future of seafood.
Chaired by Drew Cherry of Intrafish, panellists will include Anne Mette Bæk (IFFO president), Manuel Barange (FAO), Ray Hilborn (University of Washington), Dave Martin (Sustainable Fisheries Partnership), Melanie Siggs (Global Aquaculture Alliance) and Mads Martinsen (Skretting).
Petter M. Johannessen, IFFO director general, said: ‘After an unprecedented year, this event will bring together industry leaders and key stakeholders from across the globe, showing our current role in global food security and how to continue to drive a sustainable future.’
The event will take place on Zoom from October 20-21, and is free and exclusive to IFFO members. The deadline for registrations is October 16.
