It figure is, however, 2.8 per cent higher than the result recorded in the first nine months of 2013 ($2.522 billion), according to figures from the Central Bank of Chile.

Chile exported $2.249 billion in salmon products (Atlantic and coho salmon) up to September 2015. This is a decrease of almost 16.6 per cent compared to the first nine months of 2014.

Likewise, Chilean exports of rainbow trout totalled $343.32 million in the first nine months of this year, representing a decrease of almost 35.8 per cent compared to the same period of 2014.
