In the same way and given the hard conditions faced by the salmon industry due to the intrusion of ISA virus in the country, Sandoval will put emphasis on the pursuit of operational and organizational formulas that may allow them to ford the crisis and develop the production of trout and salmon in sanitary and sustainably safer conditions.

According to the company, “AquaChile will continue working for the complete normalization of its activities after the crisis; the re-entry of the salmon industry in the different local and foreign ambits; and the ties with the local communities, putting all its capacities and equipments in those tasks. Likewise, those efforts are also aimed to the recovery of the job creation capacity in the salmon industry”.

Felipe Sandoval was Under-secretary of Fisheries in the Government of Ricardo Lagos, between the years 2001 and 2006. Besides, he worked as executive secretary of the Salmon Table in 2008 and 2009.
