USA: Ducktrap River of Maine won two prestigious food awards at the 2008 Fancy Food Show held in New York by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NAFST).

In the Outstanding New Product for 2008 category Ducktrap received an award for their Smoke Roasted Chilean Sea Bass. In the Outstanding Perishable Food Service category Ducktrap received an award for their Smoke Roasted Atlantic Salmon.

Past awards Ducktrap has received have been for Outstanding Product Line and Outstanding Meat, Pate, Seafood.

The majority of the salmon the company uses is sourced through their own farms in Scotland, Norway and Chile. This gives Ducktrap a competitive advantage of full traceability from egg to plate.

In 30 years, Ducktrap River of Maine has gone from two workers to 93 employees. What started as a small trout farm selling to local businesses has blossomed into a full scale 45,000 sq. ft. seafood smoking facility that sends high quality, all natural smoked products all across the USA.
