Leroy harvested more salmon in Q3 across all regions in Norway, including in its northern Aurora region.

Lerøy Q3 harvest up by nearly 15% compared to Q3 2024

Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 59,100 gutted weight tonnes of salmon and trout in the third quarter, up from 51,400 gwt in the same quarter last year, an increase of nearly 15%, the company said in a trading update today.

All regions in Norway saw an increase: tonnage in Lerøy Aurora was up to 20,100 from 17,600 in Q3 2024; Lerøy Midt harvested 21,400 (16,900); and Lerøy Sjøtroll saw 17,600 harvested, of which 10,400 was trout (16,800 in Q3 2024 of which 6,800 was trout).

The figures exclude harvest volumes from Scottish Sea Farms, which is co-owned 50-50 by Lerøy and SalMar, the world’s fourth and second largest Atlantic salmon farmers by volume.

Wild catches

Lerøy, which also runs a wild catch fish business, Lerøy Havfisk, recorded a slight increase in catches overall in the quarter compared to the same period last year, up to 13,500 tonnes, of which 1,200 tonnes was cod, compared to 13,300 in Q3 2024, of which 1,500 tonnes was cod.
