Co-founder and managing director of Norwegian Greentech to step down
Norwegian Greentech managing director Håvard Gjelseth has decided to step down after 15 years in the company.
Thor Valsø-Jørgensen has been appointed interim managing director of the water treatment supplier, part of HAV Group.
Gjelseth was one of the co-founders of Norwegian Greentech, which supplies ballast water treatment systems and other systems for the purification of water for use in the aquaculture and maritime sectors.
Internationally renowned
Gunnar Larsen, chairman of Norwegian Greentech and CEO of parent group HAV Group, said: “Håvard was one of the co-founders of Norwegian Greentech in 2011. He has been a vital part of developing the company’s core technologies and firmly establishing it as an internationally renowned supplier of ballast water treatment systems and other water treatment solutions.
“We are deeply thankful for benefiting from his dedication over the past 15 years and we respect his decision to step down from the role as managing director.”
Norwegian Greentech has sold more than 800 treatment systems and supplies water purification technology for both land-based and offshore aquaculture.
