Grieg exceeded harvest expectations in Q2

Grieg Seafood harvested 17,800 gutted weight tonnes of salmon in Norway and Canada in the second quarter of 2021, which is 2,400 gwt more than guided in its first quarter report.

The figure, included in a market update today, doesn’t include the harvest volume from Grieg’s Shetland business, which is being sold to Scottish Sea Farms for £164 million.

In western Canada, Grieg Seafood BC harvested 5,200 gwt – 200 gwt below guidance - at a cost per kilo of Can$ 8.6 (NOK 60.38).

Grieg harvested 7,800 gwt – 1,800 gwt above guidance – in the Rogaland region of Norway at a cost of NOK 45.8 per kilo.

In the northern Norway region of Finnmark, Grieg harvested 4,800 gwt – 800 gwt above guidance – at a cost of NOK 50.7 per kilo.
