The salary offered for the former role is £18,158 to £23,036 plus overtime, and the successful applicant will be required to carry out a variety of duties including feeding, net changing and other general farm tasks, and be willing to work flexibly to meet the demands of the post. The position is offered on a full time, permanent basis working a 40 hour week on any five out of seven days.
Applications are invited from individuals who have a positive approach to this type of work and who are competent swimmers. Experience is certainly an advantage although training will be provided. A driving licence is essential.
The deckhand will be required to assist with sea lice treatments, net changing, towing and other general farm duties across the company’s seawater sites.
Applicants are required to hold relevant certificates and a valid medical, and experience in this type of work is preferable although not essential as further training will be provided. In return the successful candidate will benefit from an attractive salary package, including bonus. The work rotation is two weeks on two weeks off.
