Share price of Invermar down 7% after failed deal with Cooke
Christian Pérez The price per share of Invermar was CLP$ 67 (US$ 0.13) the day before the company announced that the deal with Salmones Cupquelán was cancelled. One week later, the price has decreased 7 percent to CLP$ 62 (US$ 0.12) per share. Allegedly, the 12 creditor banks of Invermar have now offered the control of the company to the Peruvian group Brescia among other investors, the financial newspaper Estrategia reports. Meanwhile, Salmones Cupquelán would be interested in the salmon farming assets of Pescanova in Chile: Nova Austral and Acuinova.
