The average price represents a 1.4 per cent increase compared to the previous week. It is also 13.0 per cent higher than the price observed in the same week of 2014 (US$ 4.83) and 2.3 per cent higher than that seen in the same week of 2013 (US$ 4.30).

According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the Brazilian price experienced a slight decrease, averaging US$ 5.86/kg - 2 cents lower than the previous week.

In the Japanese market, the prices of coho salmon and trout went up ¥ 10. The first fetching ¥ 590 (US$ ~4.97)/kg, while the second sold for ¥ 765 (US$ ~6.44)/kg.
