Salmon spill slows traffic in Moray

Traffic between Elgin and Fochabers in Moray was delayed today after a lorry carrying salmon shed part of its load on the A96 at Threaplands Garden Centre.

The AA’s traffic news website reported that the road was partially blocked, and traffic was queueing following the accident.

A post on the Moray News community Facebook page said fish heads and guts were on the road, and that police were in attendance.

Drivers were warned to expect delays until the road was cleaned.
