Big drop in salmon price

The spot price of Norwegian farmed salmon took a large hit last week (week 29), falling by NOK 13.10 per kilo to NOK 78.19, according to industry statistics provider Akvafakta.

However, that price was still NOK 13.26/kg above the same week last year, when the price was NOK 64.93/kg.

The export price (average price product weight free on board) for fresh salmon was NOK 81.27/kg in week 29.

Norway exported 26,506 tonnes (round weight) in week 29, which is 2% less than the same week in 2021.
