Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 15,100 gwt of salmon in its Aurora region in Q4.

Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 174,600 gwt of salmon and trout last year

Scottish Sea Farms co-owner Lerøy Seafood Group harvested 174,600 gutted weight tonnes of salmon and trout in Norway last year, the company said in a trading update today.

That figure is 12,000 gwt (6.4%) lower than in 2021, when Lerøy harvested 186,635 gwt.

Total harvest volume of salmon and trout for the fourth quarter of 2022 was 53,300 gwt (Q4 2021: 51,332 gwt).

Harvest volumes per region/company in Q4 were:

  • Lerøy Aurora (northern Norway): 15,100 gwt
  • Lerøy Midt (central Norway): 21,000 gwt
  • Lerøy Sjøtroll (southern Norway): 17,200 gwt (of which 6,800 gwt was trout)

Volumes from Scottish Sea Farms, which Lerøy owns 50/50 with fellow Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar, are not included in the figures.
