Mowi names new area managers for Western Isles and Skye
Salmon farmer Mowi Scotland has introduced a new management structure for its Western Isles and Skye region, under direction of regional seawater manager Kris Laird.
Connie Pattillo is promoted to area manager for Uist and Barra. Pattillo, who has a marine biology degree from Stirling University, began her time at Mowi in the cleaner fish division, before joining the health team for region north and later taking on farm management responsibilities.
David Gray moves from Western Isles seawater management to focus specifically on Mowi’s seawater farming operations on Skye as area manager for the island.
Lewis and Harris
Don Macleod brings nearly 20 years of experience to the position of area manager for Lewis and Harris.
With Mowi since 2009, Macleod started as farm manager before leading teams in Mowi’s Operations division. Most recently he has been farm manager (Seaforth) and productivity developer for Western Isles.
Laird said: “This diverse and knowledgeable area management team, supported by our experienced and dedicated farm managers, farm technicians and support staff, sets our company up well to deliver on our biological and financial targets.”
