Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd recalls smoked salmon

Published Last updated

It was routine sampling by Environmental Health departments that discovered the unacceptable levels of Listeria monocytogenes in two packs of smoked salmon sampled at the point of sale.

The fish had been supplied to premises within the London boroughs.

As a precaution, Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd has withdrawn all packs from the identified batches of the salmon product, and are arranging for point-of-sale notices to be displayed at all identified outlets. These notices advise consumers of the reason for the recall and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected products.

Scotch Smoked Salmon apologised for any inconvenience the incident may cause to those who had bought products from the affected batches. No other Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd products are known to be affected.
