Shetland's first female site manager
The 31-year old, originally from Doncaster, has been with the company for over six years and is married with an 18-month old son.
There are ten operational 80-metre pens at Loura Voe and Kimberley expects her first harvest sometime in November next year.
Kimberley said: “It was a big decision to move to Shetland but I am really enjoying the challenges. My training has been excellent and I feel well equipped and well supported by the management at Scottish Sea Farms.”
Graham Smith, Shetland Regional Manager, Scottish Sea Farms, said: “We are delighted that Kimberley has joined the team in Shetland as our first female trainee site manager. A site manager’s role can be challenging, whether you’re male or female, and our structured support and training programme helps to back up the natural abilities of our site teams and ensure top performance. Kimberley’s appointment will bring further management support to this key production area of the Shetland operation.”
Kimberley will lead a three person team.
