In the UK, supermarkets are putting on special offers to try to entice customers to buy salmon:

“I have not seen this for a very long time,” Jaffa points out.

Other supermarkets chains including Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda have also had great promotional activity on salmon products in the last few months

“Even Marks & Spencer have been selling their standard salmon fillet for '3 for £10',” Jaffa adds.
