Salmon price might decrease in 2011
Following this thread, if companies maintain their sanitary control over production, avoiding a new crisis, the currently positive price situation might become part of the past.
According to the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, Atlantic salmon has been traded at an average price close to USD 10.4 per Kg this year, while in June this price reached its historical highest record, at USD 13 per Kg.
Currently, Atlantic salmon is being traded at USD 11.5 per Kg, while before the sanitary crisis triggered by ISA virus the average price of this product was close to USD 4 per Kg.
