Salmon harvests increased 2.8% in first half-year

A comparison of results itemized by species shows a 26.2 percent increase in the Atlantic salmon harvests from 184,727 tonnes to 233,112 tonnes; a 40.1 percent decrease in the Rainbow trout harvests to 74,969 tonnes; a 30.9 percent increase in the Coho salmon harvests to 65,357 tonnes; and a 51.3 percent decrease in the King salmon harvests to 768 tonnes.

Regarding the origin of those fish, 136,600 tonnes of Atlantic salmon were harvested in the Region of Aysén while 84,200 tonnes were harvested in the Region of Los Lagos.
