Peruvian nets are capturing Chile’s aquaculture industry
With over sixty years of experience in net making the Peruvian company FISA has grown hand in hand with Chile’s commercial fishery and aquaculture industry. And considering the current production volumes of salmon and mussels in Chile’s southern regions, the market share for netting and line suppliers just keeps growing. The company has two production plants in Lima, Peru, and employs over 450 skilled laborers that operate some of today’s most sophisticated weaving machines, and work with the highest quality materials from Germany and Japan. In Puerto Montt the company has established a centralized sales and distribution center with a sales and administration staff of five. In an interview with Visión Acuícola, the company representative and general manager of the Puerto Montt branch, Rubén Santibañez states, “We are five people committed to this region and to bringing the best quality aquaculture supplies directly from our northern neighbor.” For more information about the company visit http://www.fisa.com.pe/home-en.htm.
