Márquez de la Plata resignes as CEO of AquaChile

Christian Pérez Víctor Hugo Puchi, president of AquaChile, said that "Alfonso played a key role in the development of our company local and internationally, in a high growth period of diversification and great challenges. These challenges were successfully overcome thanks to the commitment of a great team of people led by him". The new CEO Torben Petersen, born Danish, is a chemical engineer and a M.Sc. from the Technical University of Denmark. Furthermore, he obtained a PhD at the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences. He arrived in Chile in 1974. Since then, he has closely involved in the fishing and aquaculture industries. From 2011 to date he has served as CEO and board member of Salmones Chaicas, subsidiary project of AquaChile. Among other roles he was previously CEO of Marine Harvest Americas, EVP Americas at Fjord Seafood and manager for Food Products and Aquaculture at Camanchaca.
