
Los Fiordos recorded a negative EBIT in first half-year

Meanwhile, the company had sales of US$ 65.1 million in the first half-year of 2013, representing a 27% increase compared to the same period of the previous year (US$ 51.4 million) due to higher sold volumes and prices for Atlantic salmon in the first semester of this year. According to the information submitted by Agrosuper to the Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor or SVS, the company expects better results in the third quarter of this year with improved fish performance and larger weight classes, representing higher margins and reduced losses for this business unit. Agrosuper is an important Chilean player in the poultry, swine and salmon production.
