Redox, which supplies ozone and oxygen equipment among other products, has expanded its footprint by acquiring industry peer Trykkluftservice AS.

Fish farming supplier Redox buys compressor company

Redox AS, a supplier of oxygen and water-treatment solutions to Norway’s aquaculture industry, has increased its geographical footprint by agreeing to acquire industry peer Trykkluftservice AS.

Established in 1980, Trykkluftservice AS supplies compressors and compressed air systems in Møre og Romsdal county. The company has delivered more than 750 compressor installations. It will continue operating as a separate entity, led by Jan Atle Yndestad. All eight employees will continue with the company.

Redox said the acquisition provides customers of both companies access to a broader service offering, shorter response times, and increased expertise in oxygen systems, vacuum systems, and compressed air solutions. The companies serve both the aquaculture industry and land-based industries.

“Customers get the best of both worlds: Trykkluftservice’s unique competence and Redox’s wide product portfolio and development capabilities. Together, we can deliver even more complete solutions and ensure maximum uptime for critical systems,” said Asbjørn Skaro, managing director of Redox.

Presence in Sunnmøre

The acquisition gives Redox a physical presence in the Sunnmøre region on the west coast of Norway, in addition to its existing locations in the Nordmøre region and in Trøndelag county. This means shorter distances to customers, faster service, and a larger team of experienced technicians.

Trykkluftservice customers will now have access to an expanded range of offerings, including oxygen and nitrogen systems, cleaning systems, and advanced treatment solutions based on ozone and UV technologies.

“We have built the company step by step during the past 45 years. Now we will be able to provide our customers with a broader service and product range by becoming part of a larger professional environment. Redox shares our values and ambitions, and together we can continue driving innovation,” said Jan Atle Yndestad, general manager of Trykkluftservice.

Redox, which is majority-owned by seafood investor Bluefront Equity, acquires 100% of the shares in Trykkluftservice AS in the deal. The parties have not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.
