
Norway salmon spot price was almost a match for last year in week 36
The spot price for Norwegian farmed salmon ended last week (week 36) at NOK 64.84 (£4.84) per kilo, an increase of NOK 4.51 NOK per kilo.
The price is only NOK 2.22 per kilo below the same week last year. Apart from a single week early in the summer, the difference has not been that small since the start of the year.
The average spot price so far this year is NOK 73.33/kg, compared to NOK 100.08/kg at the same time last year.
Export volume
Norway exported 38,836 tonnes of salmon (round weight) in week 36. This is a few hundred tonnes less than the week before, and whereas in recent weeks there has been a double-digit percentage increase over the same week a year ago, this difference last week was "only" 7.6%.
So far this year, 1.06 million tonnes have been exported, 21.2% more than at the same time in 2024.
Feed
As of week 33, 1.33 million tonnes of salmon and trout feed have been sold. This is 12% more than a year ago.
However, the trend for the last four weeks (weeks 30-33) is 3% down from the same period last year.
