
Salmon to star in annual talk
Organised by the Buckland Foundation and the Imperial College Centre for Environmental Policy, the talk is entitled ‘Species without Borders: a case history on Atlantic Salmon Management’ and will be given by Dr Malcolm Windsor, OBE, former Secretary of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation (NASCO), and sometime member of the Defra Chief Scientist’s Group.
The lecture is based on a first-hand view of the complex scientific, political, economic and human factors affecting the conservation by international cooperation of Atlantic salmon.
The lecture will comprise 40 minutes plus questions and discussion, and is open to members of the public and to students, free of charge. It will be delivered at 1700 hrs on 16 October in the Read Lecture Theatre, Imperial College, South Kensington, London. The Read is on level 5 of the Sherfield Building, accessed via the South Kensington Campus Main Reception on the west side of Exhibition Road.
